Hi, I'm Sergio, the owner and founder of Yellow Rice - Paella & More. I am from Valencia, the home of Paella, and I came to Dublin in 2013.
I took my first steps here on the emerald isle working as a chef in a Spanish resturant. I was working there for six months, and there I realised that the dishes I was preparing were not the true authentic cuisine of my country. So, as the proud Spanish chef that I was, I decided to open my own Spanish food business, called Valencia-Paella & Tapas in the Epicurean Food Hall on Abbey Street. Here we offered authentic Spanish Tapas and Paella and we were passionate in serving our many customers the food that they loved.
We had two very successful years, until suddenly the owners of the property decided to close, sadly forcing us to leave the business we worked hard to build.
All of this coincided with the birth of my son Hugo, so I decided not to undertake a new venture because I wanted to enjoy my son.
However, the public's demand for Paella has kept me busy and I have been part of many large events and private parties.
Out of this demand, Yellow Rice - Paella & More was born.
My mission is to bring authentic Paella to the people of Ireland and help them to celebrate their events in a new style like we do in Valencia, the home of Paella.
